Amanda Finelli is a writer, social activist and campaign manager. After growing up in Columbus, OH and received a BA in English from The Ohio State University, Amanda spent five years in the UK where she gained a PhD in Creative Writing. During this time she established an academic outreach program for English PEN, the international human rights organization for writers. She also worked for the Ministry of Stories in London where she helped aspiring young writers in inner city London. After moving back to Columbus, she founded #halestormOhio, a grassroots LGBT workplace equality campaign which has received national and international coverage. Amanda is currently finishing her first novel and writes a range of non-fiction with a special interest in women’s rights, immigration reform, mental illness and workplace equality.
